Vodafone Dreamlab

2024

DreamLab is a free app, developed by Vodafone Foundation Australia, that uses the processing power of smartphones to help analyse complex data while their owners sleep, to speed up cancer, coronavirus and climate-change research.

I was the lead designer assigned to the Vodafone account and was responsible for coming up with solutions for new features and conducting alignment and vision workshops with product and other key stakeholders in Australia and Europe.

How

I implemented new features that were already in the backlog such as a new data project for climate change, & social media login which would enable the app to scale and increase usage globally by enabling sharing and future gamification ideas.

Given there was some unclear direction for the future of the app we decided to run various workshops with the international Vodafone team to get everyone on the same page for the vision, & align priorities. From here we could get collective engagement to take the product into the future.

Some of the tasks I conducted via a remote Miro workshop were

  • Understanding what the actual mission statement was for the product

  • Current pain/gain points

  • Goals for the next year & how we could measure them

  • How might we tasks

  • QA with the dev team

From here we were able to create a visual roadmap for the Transpire and Vodafone teams and get alignment for features to implement for the following year.
